Talk at Westminster Archives on Liberty of London

Professor Nicholas Alexander will be giving a talk titled 'Liberty of London 1875-1925 - Transformational Retailing and the Development of an International Brand'.

From 1875-1925, Liberty of London developed from a Regent Street retailer of Oriental merchandise to an iconic international brand. This presentation considers the factors that drove this change and the transformational retail environments in both London and Paris that supported the emergence of this innovative and influential brand.

The talk will be held at Westminster Archive on 26 March 2020 between 6.00 and 7.00 pm. The talk is free but pre-booking is essential. To book a place please contact archives@westminster.gov.uk or call 020 7641 5180.
